U.S. Representative Larry Bucshon is praising a bill signed by President Biden to boost nuclear energy. WNIN’s John Gibson has more:
In what may seem like a rare show of bipartisanship in an election year, the 8th District Republican praised the legislation that includes his Advanced Reactor Fee Reduction Act.
Bucshon co-authored the measure with Democrat Scott Peters of California as part of the Atomic Energy Advancement Act.
Bucshon says keeping the United States a global leader in nuclear technology and innovation is essential for providing Hoosiers and all Americans with a reliable, affordable, and secure energy mix.
Bucshon says he’s “proud” to see his legislation signed into law as part of a comprehensive energy package that prioritizes a bipartisan approach.
Bucshon is not seeking re-election to the U.S. House. He has served since 2011.
