WNIN Staffer to Lead Evansville Museum

The museum has hired Jennifer Evans as Executive Director

The Evansville Museum of Arts, History and Science has announced a new leader. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

Jennifer Evans will become the museum’s next executive director, replacing the retiring Mary Bower.

Evans has served as WNIN’s Major Gifts and Planned Giving Officer for more than two years.

Stephanie Engelbrecht chaired the Museum’s Search Committee and describes Evans as “an experienced non-profit executive with an extensive background in development and fundraising, and public service administration.”

Evans has also served as Director of Development for Mesker Park Zoo & Botanic Garden.

She will begin her tenure as the Museum’s Executive Director July 22nd .

Evans takes the reigns after the museum opened its new Picasso exhibit featuring a stained glass version of the artist’s Seated Woman in Red Hat.
