The mayor of Evansville is seeking young people to join her Youth Advisory Council. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
Mayor Stephanie Terry says she’s looking for students entering grades 8-through-12 this fall who are dedicated to the advancement of their community.
The goal is to create a diverse body of students to help advise Mayor Terry on issues related to Evansville’s youth.
The Council will meet quarterly, with possibly more meetings when a project is selected.
Students will serve a 10-month term, spanning the academic year.
Interested students can apply by emailing Ariah Leary at aleary@evansville.in.gov, or by applying at the Mayor’s Office in the Civic Center.
