Shriners Fest is getting underway on Evansville’s riverfront. WNIN’s John Gibson has a preview:
Organizers began setting up tents, food trucks, and porta-potties for the event along Dress Plaza Thursday.
One vendor said he’s got more than two dozen cases of bottled water.
The free festival features food vendors, live music, car shows, a Jeep poker run, and even boxing matches.
Musicians include That’s What She Said, Retro Shock, and Nick Hamilton.
The Shriners Fest Opening Ceremony is set for 10:00 Friday morning.
The event continues until 11:00 Friday night and from 9:00 a.m. to almost midnight on Saturday.
Riverside is closed between Court and Cherry streets for Shriners Fest. It’s expected to reopen on Sunday.
