Evansville firefighters battled a late-night house fire. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:
Crews were dispatched to the 1700 block of South New York Avenue at about 10:00 Monday night.
They found a house fully engulfed in flames.
Photos from the scene showed flames shooting through the roof of the single-story house.
It took firefighters about 40 minutes to extinguish the blaze.
There was no word of any injuries.
The house appeared to be a total loss.
There’s no word yet on how the fire started.
