Teams from the National Weather Service continue to survey damage from Sunday night’s storms. WNIN’s John Gibson has the latest:
The Weather Service in Paducah is asking for patience as it sends teams to check damage in four states.
Among the pending surveys is one in southwest Indiana where a possible twister left a trail of damage beginning in upper Posey County and stretching across southern Gibson County.
At least one death was blamed on the storms in western Kentucky.
The Hopkins County Coroner says 48-year-old Sandra Eckard of Dawson Springs was killed.
The same town was hit by tornadoes in December 2021.
Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear declared a state of emergency following the latest storms.
