Mesker Park Zoo and Botanic Garden says its new tiger is settling into her new home. WNIN’s John Gibson has more:
Luna is a nearly two-year-old Sumatran tiger that was hiding out in her first few days on display at Mesker.
But officials say she’s getting more and more comfortable -- and visible -- in her exhibit space.
The zoo also says it’s excited to be part of conservation efforts for Sumatran tigers.
The species is considered critically endangered due to increasing habitat loss and poaching.
Mesker says its team has been working tirelessly to ensure Luna's transition to her new home is as smooth and comfortable as possible.
She also has more space after the zoo combined its tiger exhibit space with a former space for bears.
It’s connected by a screened-in bridge.
