An Emmy-nominated costume designer will return to her hometown of Henderson next week. WNIN’s John Gibson has a preview:
Ane Crabtree has been nominated for three Emmy Awards.
She’s best known for her work on The Handmaid’s Tale, The Sopranos, Westworld, and Masters of Sex.
Henderson County Public Library will host Crabtree next Thursday, May 30th, at 6 PM.
Her presentation is called “Of Rivers and Roots... the Road Homeward.”
The Henderson library says Crabtree will talk about her career as a sought-after costume designer and how she’s drawn inspiration from her Kentucky roots and Okinawan heritage.
Crabtree is also a prolific visual artist and documentarian.
In 2018, she spoke at the United Nations in support of the Me Too movement, commemorating the International Day to End Violence against Women.
