Hundreds of motorcyclists riding across the U.S. are expected to stop near the Vanderburgh-Gibson county line Tuesday. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
Indiana State Police says officers will shut down US 41 near Warrenton Road and eastbound I-64 at 41 while the motorcyclists stop at the Flying J Travel Center.
The bikers are traveling from California to Washington D.C. to visit the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
The group left California on May 15 and they are scheduled to arrive in Washington D.C. on May 24.
The motorcyclists have scheduled a gas stop and a brief break at the Flying J at about 2:15 tomorrow (Tues) afternoon and depart around 3:00 p.m.
The ISP says anyone wanting to show support is encouraged to find a safe place off the roadway.
Police remind drivers that parking along I-64 is prohibited.
