Lloyd Restrictions To Start As Soon As May 28

INDOT

It's the launch of the Lloyd4U initiative

Major improvements along the Lloyd Expressway are expected to start affecting traffic after Memorial Day. WNIN’s John Gibson has the latest:

The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced lane closures along the eastbound Lloyd between the Posey County Line and Schutte Road as soon as Tuesday, May 28th.

INDOT says crews will reinforce the outside shoulders to accommodate future traffic shifts as part of the $150 million Lloyd4U initiative.

Officials say the shoulder work will occur in two-mile sections and move eastward to Barker Avenue.

It’s expected to take a month to complete, weather permitting.

Lloyd4U includes more than a dozen projects from Posey County Line Road to Cross Pointe Boulevard.

They include creating displaced left turn lanes, replacing bridges, and removing stoplights at the Lloyd and Vann Avenue.
