The National Weather Service says three tornadoes touched down in Daviess County, Kentucky on Wednesday. WNIN’s John Gibson has the update:
The Weather Service says a damage survey detected two EF-0 tornadoes in Daviess Co. along with straight-line wind damage.
The winds might have been as strong as 100 mph.
Officials also say a stronger EF-1 tornado briefly touched down near Rome, just southwest of Owensboro.
No injuries were reported.
Before the results of the damage survey were released, Daviess County leaders declared a disaster area.
The county says recovery efforts will likely top $475,000.
