Sarah Mills-Seaton and Stacey Franz advanced to the fall election with primary victories

Two Warrick County Commissioners facing felony charges have been denied re-nomination. WNIN’s John Gibson has the story:

Current County Coroner Sarah Mills-Seaton defeated the incumbent Dan Saylor and another challenger, Rick Reed, in Tuesday’s Republican primary.

Meanwhile, challenger Stacey Franz easily topped Bob Johnson and another challenger, Steve Spinks.

Saylor and Johnson both face charges in connection with the county’s animal control department.

The county’s third commissioner, Republican Terry Phillippe (FILL-uh-pee), also faces charges in the probe but that seat is not up for election this year.

Seaton and Franz will move on to the November general election.
