Polls are open until 6 p.m. Tuesday

The polls are open for Primary Election Day in Indiana. WNIN’s John Gibson has more:

22 vote centers are open in Vanderburgh County until 6:00 Tuesday evening.

The only contested local race is on the Republican ballot where Amy Canterbury is challenging incumbent County Commissioner Cheryl Musgrave.

In Warrick County, two Republican incumbent commissioners are running for re-election, despite facing criminal charges in connection with the county’s animal control department.

Both Dan Saylor and Robert Johnson say they did nothing wrong.

Each face two challengers in the primary, including current Warrick County Coroner Sarah Millis-Seaton and County Council member Richard Reid.

Voters across Indiana are nominating candidates for governor, congress, and other offices, which will end the seemingly endless political TV ads.

The two major party presidential candidates are also on the ballot.
