The Koch Family Children’s Museum of Evansville has a new leader. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
cMoe says its board of directors chose Erica Schmidt as the museum’s executive director.
She replaces Interim Director Nathan Haddix, who took over when former Director Stephanie Terry was elected mayor of Evansville.
Haddix is no long with cMoe.
Schmidt has worked in community relations for more than two decades.
Most recently, she taught communication and media courses as an adjunct professor at USI and Ivy Tech.
cMoe says Schmidt arrives with the museum’s Play It Forward campaign in full swing.
The effort will fund renovation projects, starting this fall with a major improvement to the Quack Factory.
cMoe says it’s updating the popular exhibit with a giant-sized duck named Moe, and more areas for kids to climb, explore, and learn with water.
