Officials have closed a Henderson bridge due to possible deterioration. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
Inspectors with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet issued an emergency closure of the Canoe Creek Bridge on Clay Street.
Officials say the closure is indefinite as engineers examine a possible deterioration issue with the bridge's steel substructure.
The cabinet says the 41-year-old bridge carries nearly 6,000 vehicles a day.
The nearest route around the closed bridge is Washington St., about three blocks north of Clay St.
