Police Arrest Man for Deadly Lloyd Crash

File

Jared Reed, 32, faces multiple charges in connection with the crash that killed UE student Muhammad Khan

Evansville Police have arrested a man involved in the crash that killed a UE student last weekend. WNIN’s John Gibson has the update:

Authorities arrested 32-year-old Jared Reed on preliminary charges of Reckless Homicide, Criminal Recklessness, and Reckless Driving.

Saturday’s crash on the Lloyd Expressway at Fielding Road killed 21-year-old Muhammad Khan.

A police affidavit quotes witnesses who said Reed’s vehicle was going “100 miles an hour,” “as fast as the car could go” and “flying” at the time of the three-vehicle crash.

Khan was pronounced deceased at the scene.

He was a junior at UE and also an ensemble cast member in UE Theatre’s production of “Waiting For Lefty.”
