Severe Weather Threat Continues

NWS Paducah

NWS: Areas west of Evansville face a slight risk, Evansville in "marginal risk" zone

The severe weather threat continues for the Tri-State, especially west of Evansville. WNIN’s John Gibson has the latest:

The National Weather Service says southeastern Illinois and portions of southwest Indiana and western Kentucky – west of Evansville and Henderson -- face a slight risk of severe storms Tuesday night.

Areas east of Evansville and Henderson face a marginal risk.

The National Weather Service says regardless, it's prudent for all of us to stay vigilant and prepare for the possibility of severe storms.

As for Wednesday, the weather service says the risk is similar but with more uncertainty regarding storm coverage.

A passing cold front is expected to lose some of its punch by the time it moves through the Evansville area on Wednesday.

The storms are expected just over two weeks after a half dozen tornadoes left trails of damage in southwest Indiana.
