A wrong-way crash on Highway 41 in Gibson County has killed one person and seriously injured another. WNIN’s John Gibson has the story:
Indiana State Police say a preliminary investigation determined an SUV driven by a Florida man was southbound in the northbound lanes of 41, near County Road 550-South, at about 11:30 Wednesday night.
The ISP says the SUV collided with a car driven by 37-year-old Leanna Morris of Mt. Carmel, who was driving in the correct lane.
The 57-year-old man from Florida was pronounced deceased at the crash scene.
Morris was taken to Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville with what police called serious injuries.
The crash and police investigation closed the northbound lanes of 41 for about two hours.
