A wrong way crash in western Kentucky has claimed a life. WNIN’s John Gibson has more:
It happened Monday on I-69, also known as the Pennyrile Parkway, in Hopkins County.
The sheriff’s office says a passenger car and SUV collided near Exit 308 after the car apparently headed southbound in the northbound lanes.
The Hopkins County Coroner declared the driver of the car deceased at the scene.
The driver of the SUV was airlifted to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville.
There was no word yet on the name of the deceased or the injured.
The crash and subsequent investigation blocked traffic on I-69 for more than two hours.
