Crews will rehab the bridge over Schlensker Ditch

A bridge project will close a state highway in Vanderburgh County. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

The Indiana Department of Transportation says State Road 57 will close near Daylight, starting next week.

INDOT says crews will shut down 57 between Green River Road and Boonville-New Harmony Road so they can rehabilitate the bridge over Schlensker Ditch.

The project is expected to last through the end of May, depending on the weather.

Officials say local traffic will have access to the point of closure.

The official detour will use Highway 41, I-64 and I-69.
