Sarah Dauer will replace Marco DeLucio as Evansville's Corporation Counsel

Evansville Mayor Stephanie Terry has announced her pick for the city’s Corporation Counsel. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:

Terry says Sarah Dauer will join her team as the city’s attorney.

Dauer is an Evansville native who attended Dexter Elementary, Washington Middle, and Memorial High School.

She received her bachelor’s degree at the University of Kentucky and her law degree from the University of Tulsa.

Since moving back to Evansville, Dauer served as In-House Counsel at Shoe Carnival for eight years and later as Associate Counsel at Britain-based Reckitt -- a producer of health, hygiene and nutrition products.

Terry’s office says Dauer has also served on various boards including the YMCA, Holly’s House, Ark Crisis Child Care Center, Leadership Evansville, and the Board of Parks Commissioners.

Her first day as Evansville’s Corporation Counsel with the city will be Monday.

Mayor Terry had indicated that her administration would hire an in-house choice.

Dauer will replace Marco Delucio, whom Terry thanked for his years of service.
