The low-cost carrier will offer the service Mondays and Fridays

A new flight to Florida takes off from Evansville Regional Airport on Monday. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

Breeze Airways begins it new service to Orlando from EVV, operating twice a week on Mondays and Fridays.

The low-priced airline says one-way flights to Orlando International start as low as $49.

Breeze President Tom Doxey says the carrier looks to connect underserved markets, and the new service from Evansville to Orlando “perfectly fits the bill.”

The new Breeze flights follow an announcement by Allegiant Travel of new nonstop flights between EVV and St. Pete-Clearwater.

One-way fares for that new route also cost as little as $49.

Allegiant also flies between Evansville and Orlando, Daytona Beach, and Destin, Florida.

The Evansville airport is still trying to renew service to hubs like Chicago and Detroit.
