A boil water advisory has been issued on Evansville’s East Side. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

The Evansville Water and Sewer Utility issued the advisory after a water main ruptured at Lincoln Avenue and Fuquay Road.

The boil advisory is in effect for areas generally east of Burkhardt Road, south of Bergdolt Road, west of the Warrick County line, and north of the Ohio River.

The advisory area includes some of the Burkhardt Road shopping area, Plaza Park middle school, and a portion of southwest Warrick County.

You can see a map of the advisory area at ewsu.com or at news.wnin.org

Customers in the advisory area are urged to boil tap water for at least five minutes before using it for cooking or drinking until the advisory is lifted.
