Authorities have released the identity of the woman who was killed in a house fire in Corydon, Kentucky. WNIN’s John Gibson has the update:
The Henderson County Coroner’s Office says 70-year-old Mary Lou Patterson died in Monday’s fire in the 400 block of Main Street in Corydon.
Fire officials said Patterson was unable to escape the burning house and a man was injured trying to rescue her.
He was flown to a Louisville hospital. There was no word on his name.
Fire crews battled high winds as they extinguished the blaze.
The State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
