State officials will visit Evansville this week to gather public input on how to best use federal pollution reduction money. WNIN’s John Gibson has more:
The Indiana Department of Environmental Management was awarded $3 million in initial planning funds to conduct a greenhouse gas emissions inventory and to develop a Priority Climate Action Plan.
The plan is due to the federal EPA next month.
A Comprehensive Climate Action Plan is due in July 2025.
IDEM staff and representatives will hear from residents Thursday evening, from 6-7:30 at Oaklyn Library, off Oak Hill Road.
