Republican Bryan Underwood filed for the May Primary; Democrat Keith Mosby is expected to file soon

An Evansville police detective is running for Vanderburgh County Coroner. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

Republican Bryan Underwood says he has filed for the coroner’s seat currently held by Democrat Steve Lockyear.

Lockyear is term-limited and can’t seek the office again.

Underwood says he has a “commitment to public service” and aims to bring “experience and dedication to the Coroner’s Office.”

Meanwhile, Democrat Keith Mosby is expected to file for the office soon.

Local Democratic chair Cheryl Schultz says Mosby has worked in the coroner’s office for ten years.
