A former mayor is among three people who will be inducted into the Junior Achievement Evansville Regional Business Hall of Fame. WNIN’s John Gibson has more:
Junior Achievement says this year's inductees left their mark in manufacturing, government, and economic development.
Active honorees include Lloyd Winnecke, who just stepped down as Evansville Mayor and became CEO of the Evansville Regional Economic Partnership – or E-Rep.
Also among the inductees is former Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana President Leah Curry.
This year's historical honoree is George Mesker, who led a sheet-metal business in Evansville dating back to the late 19th century.
Junior Achievement says inductees are nominated for their civic and business contributions to the Southwestern Indiana region and recognized for their business excellence, courageous thinking and action, inspired leadership, and community mindedness.
This year’s honorees will be inducted May 21st at Old National Events Plaza.
