The Evansville area can expect winter weather on Tuesday and then again this weekend

It’s been a fairly mild winter in the Evansville area -- but forecasters say that’s going to change. WNIN’s John Gibson has more:

A Wind Advisory remains in effect for the Evansville area and rain is expected to mix with and then change to snow tonight (Tues).

Forecasters say a light grassy accumulation is possible, but no major snow impacts are anticipated on the roads.

It may be just a taste of more significant winter weather expected this weekend.

The National Weather Service says rain and windy conditions will be likely again on Friday.

Temperatures are then expected to fall sharply by Friday night with rain changing to snow.

High temperatures are forecast to stay below freezing on Saturday and Sunday, with wind chills near zero.
