A Wind Advisory is in effect from noon Tuesday until early Wednesday morning

Forecasters are warning of high winds in the Tri-State Tuesday. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory that’s in effect from noon Tuesday until 3:00 a.m. Wednesday.

Forecasters are calling for west winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

They say the gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects, tree limbs could be blown down, and we could see some power outages.

The weather service also says the rain has created saturated soil conditions, so trees could be uprooted by the wind.

Forecasters urge extra caution when driving in the windy conditions, especially if operating a high profile vehicle like a tractor-trailer.
