A head-on crash has claimed two lives in Owensboro. WNIN’s John Gibson has the story:
It happened just before 7:30 Wednes morning on the Wendell Ford Expressway near Reid Road.
The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office says a westbound car crossed the median and crashed into an eastbound pickup truck.
Both drivers died at the scene. Their names were not released as of early Wednesday afternoon.
Investigators say no other passengers were in either vehicle.
It’s not clear why the car crossed the median.
The crash, investigation, and clean-up forced authorities to block the eastbound lanes of the expressway and restrict westbound traffic for two hours.
