Officials have lifted a boil water advisory in Posey County in time for the holiday weekend. WNIN’s John Gibson has the update:
The Mt. Vernon Water Department lifted the advisory that it issued Tuesday night.
It was in effect for Mt. Vernon water customers west of West Elementary School.
Tests show the tap water is safe to consume.
The department issued the boil advisory due to possible contamination.
