INDOT says crews will limit the width of the southbound lanes of U.S. 41 for the project at Washington Ave

The next construction phase for a pedestrian bridge near Bosse High School is expected to start next month. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

The Indiana Department of Transportation says crews will restrict traffic on southbound Highway 41 from Bellemeade to just south of Washington, beginning on or around January 8th.

INDOT says all southbound lanes will be narrowed to 11 feet wide.

The agency says it’s part of phase 2 of the project to build a long-awaited pedestrian overpass near the busy intersection of 41 and Washington Avenue.

INDOT says work will begin on the west side of the roadway.

The project is expected to be completed by late 2024.
