Local Democrats have chosen a replacement for Stephanie Terry on the Vanderburgh County Council. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:
A party caucus on Saturday selected Nick Iaccarino for the District 3 County Council seat.
Iaccarino has served as the vice chair of the Vanderburgh County Democratic Party since 2019.
He will officially take the county council seat when Stephanie Terry is sworn-in as Evansville Mayor on New Year’s Day.
Terry is the first woman and person of color to be elected mayor of Evansville.
