The Mayor-elect was chosen for the First 100 Days program

Evansville Mayor-elect Stephanie Terry is taking part in a Harvard training program for new mayors. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

Terry was chosen as one of 29 newly-elected U.S. mayors to participate in the Bloomberg Center for Cities at Harvard University’s Program for New Mayors: First 100 Days.

A release from Terry’s office says over the next five months, she’ll receive world-class training on topics like setting strategic citywide priorities, building effective city hall organizations, and delivering for residents.

The program is delivered in collaboration with the U.S. Conference of Mayors and the Institute of Politics at Harvard Kennedy School.

Terry says she’s proud to be selected to the program and learn alongside other U.S. mayors and global experts as “we work to strengthen the capabilities our city needs to lead and deliver on our most pressing challenges and opportunities.”

Terry traveled to Harvard for an initial two-day immersive classroom experience.
