The Ruder Foundation is donating $20,000

The Evansville African-American Museum has received a financial boost. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

The Thomas A & Sharon K Ruder Foundation is gifting the museum $20,000 as part of its “Impact Invite.”

The Foundation says it met with several non-profits serving the Tri-State.

It was an opportunity for executive directors to discuss and explore ways to begin or expand charitable partnerships with the Ruder Foundation.

The first recipient is the Evansville African American Museum, which the foundation says will help continue the museum’s mission and support its inaugural Martin Luther King Jr. Day weekend of activities.

The donation will also assist other educational programs and events at the museum.

The Ruder Foundation is a private family foundation established in 1998 by Evansville natives Thomas and Sharon Ruder.
