A crash on Highway 41 in Gibson County critically injured at least one person. WNIN’s John Gibson has the story:
It happened at about 9:30 Wednesday morning on 41 at Gibson County Road 350 South, near the Toyota plant.
Sheriff Bruce Vanoven says first responders found a woman had been ejected from a vehicle and was in critical condition.
More emergency crews were dispatched and an ambulance took the woman to an Evansville-area hospital with what Vanoven called “multiple serious injuries.”
Three ambulances were sent to the scene.
A sheriff’s deputy determined a station wagon on 350 South pulled into the path of a pickup truck that was pulling a trailer loaded with heavy equipment on 41.
Indiana State Police were dispatched to perform an accident reconstruction.
The accident, the investigation, and another crash south of the scene forced authorities to re-route northbound traffic on 41.
