Many southern Indiana counties are under burn bans

Many southern Indiana counties are under a burn ban. But as WNIN’s John Gibson reports, rain is expected in the region Thursday night and Friday:

Dry conditions have prompted authorities to issue burn bans in 26 Indiana counties including Gibson, Knox, Perry, and Daviess.

Forecasters say up to a quarter-inch of needed rain could fall by Friday night, followed by two days of sunny, cooler weather.

More rain and even thunderstorms are possible Monday and Tuesday, followed by colder even colder air.

The outlook for Thanksgiving is sunny and cold, with the caveat that a more reliable forecast will be released as the holiday gets closer.
