The 21 finalists for a new Evansville flag

Residents can vote for their favorite via text

Votes are being accepted for a new Evansville city flag. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

Four students at Perry Heights Middle School led the effort with the help of adult “community ambassadors.”

The result was 21 flag designs for residents to choose from.

The flag that receives the most votes will be presented to the Evansville City Council for possible adoption.

The 21 competing flags can be seen at https://www.evansvilleflagcompetition.com/

You can vote for your favorite by text. Voting ends December 4th.

An earlier effort to choose a new Evansville flag was dropped in 2021, when city officials didn’t support any of the finalists.
