Evansville’s public school teachers will receive a $6,000 pay raise over two years in a new contract approved Monday night. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:
The EVSC school board adopted the new two-year agreement which begins retroactively from July 1st of this year until June 30th, 2025.
It provides $3,000 extra in base salary in the first year and another $3,000 in the second for most teachers.
The contract also raises minimum annual teacher pay from $41,500 to $47,500 over two years.
It also raises top salaries to $91,000 in the second year.
