Evansville area residents will have another option for flying to Orlando, Florida. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:
Breeze Airways has announced it will begin the EVV to Orlando flights February 23rd.
The low-cost carrier is offering discounts for travelers who book flights by November 14th.
Breeze will join Allegiant Air in offering flights between Evansville and Orlando, where Disney World attracts about 58 million visitors a year.
EVV Executive Director Nate Hahn says the airport excited that Breeze has chosen Evansville as its first Indiana city.
Hahn says the local airport looks forward to partnering to “expand and further enhance air service options for travelers in the region.”
EVV is working with airlines to resume service to Chicago and Detroit.
Flights to those cities stopped last year.
EVV does offer daily flights to Atlanta, Charlotte, and Dallas, with non-daily flights to Orlando.
