President John F. Kennedy

Dr. Fredrik Logevall of Harvard will deliver Fiddick lecture Friday evening

As the 60th anniversary of President John F. Kennedy’s assassination approaches, the University of Evansville is welcoming a Pulitzer Prize-winning historian. WNIN’s John Gibson has a preview:

UE’s Department of History, Politics, and Social Change will host Dr. Fredrik Logevall for the 21st annual Thomas C. Fiddick Memorial Lecture this Friday.

The Harvard professor will address how to consider JFK and his role in American and world politics, particularly during this time of rising threats to democracy.

UE says Logevall will explore Kennedy's “consequential leadership and why it matters for our current moment.”

The event is set for Friday evening at 7:00 at Eykamp Hall in the Ridgway University Center at UE.

The event is free and open to the public.
