The University of Southern Indiana is adding a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
The university’s Board of Trustees approved the new degree within the USI College of Liberal Arts.
The university will offer the degree with what it calls concentrations in graphic design, illustration, interactive media design, photography, and studio art.
USI says it will provide students with both in-depth artistic exploration and a broad understanding of the discipline.
The university says the program is particularly suited for aspiring art directors, special effects artists, interior designers, graphic designers, and craft and fine artists.
The BFA in Art will be reviewed by the Indiana Commission for Higher Education with the hope of starting instruction in fall 2024.
