The Evansville-Vanderburgh County Joint Drug Task Force – with the help of a SWAT team -- executed a search warrant at a home in the 2300 block of Margybeth Ave. on Thursday.

EPD Sgt. Anna Gray says the raid followed numerous complaints about illegal drug activity at the home.

Officers took eight people into custody.

One suspect barricaded himself inside the house and surrendered after police used pepper spray.

One suspect reportedly tried to flee but was captured with the help of a police K-9.

Police arrested 45-year-old Rolshon Michael Hudson, 41-year-old Jack Harden, 25-year-old Shienkita Foster, 26-year-old Kenneth Gardner, 36-year-old Trevel Carpenter, 37-year-old Andrea Bell, 31-year-old Kari Nicole Skelton, and 45-year-old Maurice Joyce.

They face charges ranging from felony drug dealing to visiting a common nuisance.
