The West Side Nut Club says the winner of the record jackpot wants to remain anonymous

The West Side Nut Club says “we have a winner.” WNIN’s John Gibson explains:

The Nut Club says a winner has come forward in the record-setting Fall Festival Half Pot drawing.

The jackpot reached more than $1.8 million when the festival ended October 7th.

The holder of the winning ticket will receive more than $900 thousand before taxes. The winner can expect a payout of about $574,000 after taxes.

The Nut Club says it’s donating the other half of the jackpot to local organizations.

The club says the big winner wants to remain anonymous but a representative was expected to speak to reporters Monday afternoon.
