The municipal election is less than four weeks away

Early voting for the Nov. 7th election is underway in Evansville. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:

In-person absentee voting, commonly referred to as “early voting”, began today (Wed) at Central Library.

County Clerk Carla Hayden says Central replaced the Vanderburgh County Election Office as an early voting location.

Early balloting will be conducted at other libraries later this month.

Only voters registered within the city limits of Evansville are eligible to vote in the election.

Voters are choosing a mayor, city council members, and other officials.

A debate among the three mayoral candidates – Democrat Stephanie Terry, Republican Natalie Rascher, and Libertarian Michael Daugherty -- is set for next Wednesday at USI.

The event will be broadcast live on WNIN FM, WNIN TV, and wnin.org at 7 p.m.
