$1 Million Powerball Ticket Sold in Newburgh

Hoosier Lottery

Monday's winning ticket was purchased at the Tobacco Road on Stacer Road

The Evansville area may be home to a new millionaire. WNIN’s John Gibson has the story:

The Hoosier Lottery says a $1 million winning Powerball ticket was purchased at the Tobacco Road convenience store at 5522 Stacer Road in Newburgh.

Officials say Powerball tickets purchased for Monday’s drawing should be checked carefully.

The winning number was 16-34-46-55-67 with the Powerball of 14.

The lottery says the ticket holder should make sure the ticket is in a secure place, consider meeting with a financial advisor, and contact Hoosier Lottery customer service at 800-955-6886.

No one matched all the numbers in Monday’s drawing, sending the jackpot for Wednesday to an estimated $1.73 billion.

It’s the second-largest jackpot in U.S. and Powerball history.
