It’s finally starting to feel like fall in the Tri-State. WNIN’s John Gibson has the story:
The National Weather Service recorded temperatures in the mid-to-upper 80’s earlier this week.
It was some of the warmest weather in memory for the start of the West Side Nut Club Fall Festival.
U.S. Climate data shows average high temperatures in Evansville during the first week of October are in the mid 70’s.
But forecasters say the festival will end with below-average temperatures.
Rainy and cooler conditions moved in Thursday, and this weekend we expect clear skies, a chilly breeze, and the area’s lowest temperatures in five months.
Forecasters are predicting lows in the low-to-mid 40’s Saturday and Sunday mornings and highs in the low-to-mid 60’s.
Temperatures are forecasted to moderate next week with dry conditions.
