A music icon is returning to Evansville. WNIN’s John Gibson has the story:

Legendary songwriter Bob Dylan is scheduled to perform at Old National Events Plaza, Sunday, December 3rd.

The 82-year-old troubadour still tours frequently and recently made a surprise appearance at the Farm Aid concert in Noblesville, Indiana.

Dylan last played Evansville in 2011 as one of the final events at Roberts Stadium.

He arrived on the music scene in the early 1960’s as a folk singer with classic songs like “Blowin’ in the Wind,” and “The Times They Are-A-Changing,” before going electric and releasing rockers including “Like a Rolling Stone,” “Subterranean Homesick Blues,” and “Maggie’s Farm.”

Dylan’s numerous classic albums include Highway 61 Revisited, Blonde on Blonde, and Blood on the Tracks.

A presale for the December 3rd show is Thursday at 10 AM. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 AM.
