INDOT will conduct a public hearing Tuesday evening

A public hearing is set for Tuesday evening to discuss plans for the Lloyd Expressway on Evansville’s West Side. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

The Indiana Department of Transportation will conduct the hearing at the City View facility on Fulton Avenue, just north of the Lloyd.

The doors open at 5:30, with the hearing starting at 6 p.m.

INDOT says officials will update residents and receive public input on construction planned for the west side as part of the Lloyd4U project.

Members of the project team will discuss improvements to the Lloyd between Wabash Avenue and the Posey/Vanderburgh County line.

INDOT says a formal comment period will follow the presentation.

The state plans to invest more than $150 million to make the Lloyd what it calls “more efficient and safer for motorists to navigate.”

The plan includes intersection improvements, bridge replacements, pavement replacement, and more.
