The Evansville Water and Sewer Utility has lifted a boil advisory on the city’s East Side. WNIN’s John Gibson has the update:
The precautionary advisory was issued after a water main break on N. Burkardt Road Sunday evening.
A number of nearby businesses lost water service and had to temporarily close.
Crews repaired the break and the Water and Sewer Utility issued the precautionary boil advisory for a large part of the East Side on Monday.
Subsequent tests determined the tap water is safe to drink.
